Editorial Policy

The Bourse Report is committed to producing accurate, transparent, and genuinely useful content for European retail investors. This page explains how we create, review, and maintain our content.

How we create content

Every article on The Bourse Report follows a structured editorial process:

Research phase. We gather data from primary sources — official broker fee schedules, regulatory filings, fund factsheets, tax authority publications, and financial statements. We do not rely on press releases or third-party summaries when original sources are available.

Writing and review. All content undergoes human expert review before publication. No article is published without a thorough fact-check against primary sources.

Updates. Financial information changes frequently. We review and update our highest-traffic articles at least quarterly. Every article displays a “Last updated” date so you always know how current the information is.

How we rate brokers

Our broker ratings are based on hands-on testing. We evaluate brokers across standardised criteria including fees, platform usability, product range, regulatory status, and customer support. The full methodology is disclosed in each review.

How we handle stock reviews

Stock reviews on The Bourse Report always present both a bull case and a bear case. We never issue buy or sell recommendations. We present our analysis and thesis, clearly labelled as opinion, and let you make your own decision. Any positions held by the author are disclosed at the top of the review.

Affiliate relationships and editorial independence

Some articles contain affiliate links. These links help fund the site, but they do not influence our editorial judgments. We regularly recommend products and brokers for which we have no affiliate relationship, and we have published critical reviews of brokers with whom we do have partnerships.

Our affiliate relationships are fully disclosed on our Affiliate Disclosure page and within each article that contains affiliate links.

Corrections

We take accuracy seriously. If you spot an error in any of our content, please contact us via our contact page. We will investigate and, if warranted, issue a correction with a note explaining what was changed and when.
